Barbara Best Builds, Weapons, & Teams
Barbara, known as a popular idol and deaconess at the Church of Favonious in Genshin Impact, is a well-loved citizen of Mondstadt and the younger sibling of Jean.
Barbara is a 4-Star Hydro character that can be a fantastic healer for your team. Similar to the character Kokomi, she can work as a Support member in your team to keep them alive on the field while keeping the Hydro element applied to enemies.
Barbara Best Builds & Artifact Sets
Barbara is best utilized in the Support category, as she can provide a great deal of healing to your party. Her healing scales on her HP, so when choosing the right Artifact Set for her, it’s best to look out for the ones that focus heavily on this stat. Depending on whether you’d like to focus only on healing, or if you’d like to add in a small boost to her damage, there are two sets that will work well for her.
4-Set Of Maiden Beloved
The 2-Set of Maiden Beloved will give Barbara a 15 percent increase to her Character Healing Effectiveness. For the 4-Set, using an Elemental Skill or Burst will increase healing received by all party members by 20 percent for 10 seconds. Use this set if you’d like to focus mostly on healing.
4-Set Of Ocean-Hued Clam
The 2-Set of Ocean-Hued Clam will give Barbara a 15 percent increase to her Healing Bonus. When Barbara heals a character in the party with the 4-Set, a Sea-Dyed Foam will appear for 3 seconds, accumulating the amount of HP recovered from healing. At the end of the duration, the Sea-Dyed Foam will explode, dealing DMG to nearby enemies based on 90 percent of the accumulated healing. Only one Sea-Dyed Foam can be produced every 3.5 seconds. Each Sea-Dyed Foam can accumulate up to 30,000 HP. There can be no more than one Sea-Dyed Foam active at any given time, and it can still be triggered even when Barbara is not on the field. Use this set if you’d like to add in a bit of damage with the Sea-Dyed Foam along with healing your party. With these two Artifact Sets, here are the best main stats and substats to look out for.

Barbara’s build is quite easy, as you’ll really just need to focus on HP to scale up her healing effectiveness. Should you prefer to add in a bit of extra damage, we recommend the Elemental Mastery stat as Barbara will apply the Hydro element frequently to opponents, allowing your other party members to create powerful Elemental Reactions.
Barbara’s Best 5-Star & 4-Star Weapons
There are a lot of great weapons for Barbara, and most of them are fairly easy to acquire. With most of her stats focusing on HP and Elemental Mastery, here are some of our most recommended weapons for her.
5-Star Weapon: Everlasting Moonglow
In terms of 5-Star weapons, there is really just one option best suited to Barbara, which is the Everlasting Moonglow. This catalyst will give Barbara a base increase of 10.8 percent to her HP. Its Bonus Skill will increase Barbara’s Healing Bonus by 10 percent, and Normal ATK DMG will increase by 1 percent of the Max HP of Barbara. For 12 seconds after using an Elemental Burst, Normal Attacks that hit opponents will restore 0.6 Energy. Energy can be restored this way once every 0.1 seconds. Everlasting Moonglow will not only improve Barbara’s healing abilities, but you’ll be able to up her Support status by recharging her team’s energy as well.
4-Star & 3-Star Weapons: Prototype Amber & Thrilling Tales Of Dragon Slayers
Prototype Amber will give Barbara a base increase of 9 percent to her HP. Its Bonus Skill will regenerate 4 Energy every 2 seconds for 6 seconds after using an Elemental Burst. Additionally, all party members will regenerate 4 percent HP every 2 seconds for this duration. As a Free-to-Play weapon, Prototype Amber will greatly aid Barbara’s healing abilities while also providing a recharge to party members’ energy.
Thrilling Tales of Dragon Slayers will give a base increase of 7.7 percent to Barbara’s HP. Its Bonus Skill, when switching out characters, will increase their ATK by 24 percent for 10 seconds after the new character takes the field. This effect can only occur once every 20 seconds. A perfect weapon for a straightforward Barbara healing build, as it promotes the use of swapping out Barbara for the Main DPS or Sub-DPS to increase their ATK. This way, you can solely focus on bringing Barbara in to heal the team and then quickly change the character to deal damage.
Barbara’s Best Team Compositions
Barbara pairs well with a lot of different teams, as she can provide healing to any team members while also applying Hydro to create Elemental Reactions. Depending on what you want to focus on with Barbara’s role, there are a few teams that will work best for her to improve her abilities.
5-Star Team
In this team, Barbara will act as the Support to provide healing to the team. The rest of the members will carry all the damage and Elemental Reactions, so Barbara will only need to play one role as the healer.
