A new season of Fortnite will arrive next week, and may even include the highly anticipated first-person mode.

Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2, which is set to release early next week, will reportedly include the long-rumored first-person mode, according to reliable leaker HYPEX.

Although the official release date of Season 2 is yet to be confirmed by Epic Games, it’s expected to kick off on March 9th following the end of the current season on March 8th. New seasons often come with an extended period of downtime of 12 hours or more, which is usually when fresh leaks are revealed.

But the likes of HYPEX, ShiinaBR, and iFireMonkey seem to be getting a head start on the leaks for next season, as plenty of details have been revealed in recent days.

Not only have the aforementioned leakers previously revealed an Attack on Titan crossover for Chapter 4 Season 2, ShiinaBR recently revealed all of the upcoming skins for the new battle pass. Now, just a matter of hours later, a new leak has revealed that Fortnite could be getting a first-person mode with the upcoming season.

“Fortnite’s First Person mode is finally coming in NEXT SEASON”, HYPEX announced on Twitter. The leaker went on to say that a reliable source had confirmed the details, revealing in a follow-up tweet that the mode will likely be an option setting, as opposed to a completely separate mode.

The addition of a first-person option is sure to have a huge effect on the overall gameplay of Fortnite, but Epic Games is no stranger to mixing things up. In the summer of 2022, Epic Games completely removed the option to build in Fortnite, a huge change that divided the community.

Thankfully, the removal of building was only temporary and returned shortly after. However, Fortnite has since seen the ‘Zero Build’ mode remain as a permanent playlist option, for those that enjoyed the more classic battle royale experience.

Epic Games is yet to confirm the existence of a first-person mode, so it’s recommended to take these details with a pinch of salt for the time being.
