Staff of the Scarlet Sands is a 5-Star Polearm first introduced in Version 3.1 of Genshin Impact alongside the 5-Star character Cyno. It’s an exceptional weapon for Main DPS and Sub-DPS characters to increase their CRIT Rate.

What Is Staff of the Scarlet Sands?
Staff of the Scarlet Sands is a 5-Star Polearm available as an Event-Exclusive weapon on Event Wishes. It is Cyno’s signature weapon, so if you have this character you’ll definitely want to have this weapon in your arsenal. It has a base ATK of 44, and a base increase of 9.6 percent to CRIT Rate. Its Bonus Skill will allow the equipping character to gain 52 percent of their Elemental Mastery as Bonus ATK. When an Elemental Skill hits an opponent, the Dream of the Scarlet Sands effect will be gained for 10 seconds: the equipping character will gain 28 percent of their Elemental Mastery as bonus ATK. It has a maximum of 3 stacks.
As most Main DPS and Sub-DPS characters need a significant boost to their CRIT Stats, the Staff of the Scarlet Sands is an exemplary option for them due to the increase to CRIT Rate. Main and Sub-DPS characters need to hit high numbers to deal as much damage as possible to enemies, and increasing their CRIT Rate will allow them to deal more frequent CRIT hits.
How To Get & Ascend Staff Of The Scarlet Sands
In order to pick up the Staff of the Scarlet Sands, you will need to wish on the Event-Exclusive Weapon Banners. It is currently available on the Version 3.5 Phase 1 Weapon Banner, and you can pick it as your Epitomized Path, so you have a higher chance of pulling it rather than the other 5-Star weapon available. After 80 wishes on the banner, you will have a 75 percent chance of pulling the Staff of the Scarlet Sands. If you have Cyno, then we recommend choosing this weapon over the Beacon of the Reed Sea, or whichever other available 5-Star weapon is currently on the banner.

With this massive increase to CRIT Stats, the Staff of the Scarlet Sands is an ideal weapon for Main DPS and Sub-DPS characters who can get high numbers on their CRIT hits.
