A New Hogwarts Legacy Mod Lets You Cast Spells With Your Voice

“It’s leviOsa, not leviosA.”

A recently released Hogwarts Legacy mod has given PC players the ability to cast in-game spells with their voices, allowing us all to come one step closer to our childhood dreams.

As spotted by PCGamer, the mod was uploaded to Nexus Mods a few days ago and has already been downloaded by over 300 players. Simply called “voice spells”, the description for this mod reads, “This tool allows you to cast spells in the Hogwarts Legacy game using your voice. Select all the options and use,” sounds pretty straightforward if you ask me!

DUALSHOCKERS VIDEO OF THE DAY

An image on the mod’s official page showcases how it all works. The program is split into four separate decks, with four slots for each deck – exactly how spells work in-game. The user simply needs to bind the desired spells to the correct deck and slot and you’re on your way. Plus, if you decide you don’t want to use your voice one day, all of the normal key binds are still available, so there’s no need to completely disable the mod.

Now, we haven’t had the chance to try this mod for ourselves, but PCGamer included a handy video showcasing the mod in action. It appears as though there’s a slight delay between saying the spell into your mic and it actually happening in-game. Obviously, not an ideal situation if you’re in the middle of an intense battle or boss fight.

That doesn’t mean the mod isn’t useful though, as it can still be used to cast the likes of wingardium leviosa, ascendio, or many others when you’re attempting to complete one of the game’s many puzzles. But, before you jump in and start screaming “AVADA KEDAVRA!” down your mic, it’s important to note that Nexus Mods has actually flagged the mod as “containing some suspicious files.” Although tested by PCGamer, it’s recommended to err on the side of caution when downloading it, just in case.

Early last month, Hogwarts Legacy’s director went on record to say that there were no current plans to release any post-launch DLC, despite the huge success of the game. So, if you’re wanting to mix things up after you’ve completed Hogwarts Legacy, mods might be your best bet.
