How To Catch A Fwooper
Want to add a Fwooper to your Vivarium in Hogwarts Legacy? Here’s where you can find the colorful owl-like beast.
Quick Links
Magically cute and fluffy creatures are a common occurrence in Hogwarts Legacy, along with terrifying and creepy monsters. Luckily, when catching your own beasts to bring to the Room of Requirement, you’ll be sticking to the cute ones.
Among these is the Fwooper, a colorful owl-like creature with shades ranging from bright pink to teal. The large birds are certainly not the easiest to find, but with a little help they will be a quick catch.
Prerequisites For Catching A Fwooper
Before you can go about finding a Fwooper on the map, you will need to make sure to complete a few prerequisites beforehand. This includes the quest, ‘The Elf, the Nab-Sack, and the Loom’. This quest will be available to you once you have unlocked the Room of Requirement, and you will get it from Deek the House-Elf. Once you take on this quest, you will open up the ability to catch beasts in the wild, use the Loom, and gain access to the Vivarium. This will allow you to keep your beasts in the Room of Requirement and let them live in a natural environment to keep them happy.
Once this quest is completed, you’ll be able to find Fwoopers on the map in the game. Here’s where you can find the colorful creatures.
Where To Find A Fwooper
To find a Fwooper in Hogwarts Legacy, you will need to locate one of its dens on the map. There are three different areas where you can find the beast, including:
- Hogwarts Valley near Northern South Sea Bog
- Feldcroft Region near Rookwood Castle
- Clagmar Coast near Cragcroft Shore
Its den will be marked by a small paw print icon, and when you hover over it, it will say ‘Fwooper Den’. You can use any of the nearby Floo Flames to reach the area, and then track it on your map. For our search, we chose the location in the Clagmar Coast region. To reach the area, we started at the Cragcroft Shore Floo Flame and traveled south to reach the Fwooper Den.
How To Catch A Fwooper
Catching a Fwooper requires a bit of patience, as they can easily fly away if you don’t use the correct techniques. Before walking into their den, we highly recommend you use the Disillusionment Charm first, so you can get up close to them without them spotting you.
When you’ve found a Fwooper that you’d like to catch, use the spell Levioso on it to hold it up and prevent it from running away. Then, take out your Nab-Sack quickly and press the button prompts four times to successfully catch the Fwooper. If they manage to get away before you complete the process, you can use Levioso again to keep them from completely flying away and leaving the area. There will be a lot of Fwoopers in this area, so if all the ones you originally were attempting to catch fly away, some more will eventually arrive.
