Unlike his father, Ketil, who remains quiet and calm, Thorgil is a short-tempered and strong Viking of Canute’s squire. In the meantime, a young boy and girl siblings are caught as the culprits, and a meeting will decide their punishment.
What Happened Previously On Vinland Saga?
Einer and Thorfinn continued their job to clear the land, but it was too much work for two men, and they needed a horse to ease their work. They talked to the retainers to give them a horse, but their request was rejected. Later, they met a man named Sverkel, who agreed to lend them his horse, but in return, he asked them to help him with his daily chores. They agree to the man’s terms, although Einer believed that Sverkel was exploiting them.
As expected, the horse turned out to be a great help in taking out the stumps and plowing the land. They further borrowed a plow which was of great help as well. But later, when they met some retainers, they learned they were being looked for as a suspect in stealing the horse. They discover that Sverkel is Ketil’s father, and at the former’s house, they bump into Snake. Snake and Sverkel had a father-and-son-like relationship, and Snake then talks about how he helped the old man by protecting his farm from the thieves. The episode ended with Thorfinn developing an interest in farming and his relationship with Einer developing.
