Ishin Now Has Short Combat Demo On PC And Consoles

The demo is a two-part action-packed experience to get players familiar with the combat system.

Like A Dragon: Ishin has received a brief combat demo on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC less than a week before its full launch. The free demo, which isn’t very large in size, will allow players to experience the new combat system via two different sequences from the game.

As the current demo is only focused on making players familiar with the combat system, you actually cannot make any progress, and everything you earn through the demo will not be carried to the full game. So, if you are 100% confident about purchasing the new Like A Dragon spin-off, you may see little benefit from playing the demo.

Although this free demo is not available on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, the full game will release on last-gen consoles as well as PC and current-gen consoles on February 21. Like A Dragon: Ishin is the first of three titles announced by SEGA in the backend of 2022 from the beloved Yakuza series, which will now be known as Like A Dragon going forward.

In case you are not familiar with the new spin-off, it is a ground-up remake of 2014’s title of the same name that was only released for PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 in Japan. The story follows the return of Sakamoto Ryoma to Kyoto in an attempt to find the killer of his father and set himself free of a murder accusation.

Similar to previous Yakuza entries, you can expect an open-world area where you will get to experience main and side quests while playing mini-games and interacting with other characters. The game is currently available for pre-order for $59.99. If you pre-purchase the Digital Deluxe edition for $69.99, you can start playing the full game today, thanks to a 4-day early access bonus. Users will also receive three exclusive in-game weapons with the Digital Deluxe version.

The PC version of Like A Dragon: Ishin will also use the Denuvo anti-tamper. The developers have already revealed the official system requirements to run the game in different presets. On consoles, the game supports a free upgrade, allowing you to play it on both current-gen and last-gen consoles of the same console family with a single purchase.
