How To Find Smithing-Stone Miner’s Ball-Bearing 1
As you can see in the above table, the Twin Maiden Husks are one of the best sources of Smithing Stones because their stock does not run out. But the twins will not sell the stones until you provide them with a Miner’s Ball-Bearing. For Smithing Stones 1 and 2, the Ball-Bearing they require is found in the Raya Lucaria Crystal Tunnel in North-Eastern Liurnia.
Raya Lucaria Crystal Tunnel
The Crystal Tunnel is quite a large mine, filled with Glintstone Miners who come in melee and magic variants. Both types are very vulnerable to Strike damage. You can also sneak attack many of the miners working at the walls or simply ignore them. To reach the boss, head out into the first open area from the entrance and head right. There are three Miners here. Heading straight on, where you’ll see a further tunnel and, to the left of it, a lift.
Take the lift, and you will descend into another large area with three miners in front of you. Defeat these and stick to the left wall, where you will find another tunnel.
Here you’ll see a number of Marionette Soldiers, some hiding in the ceiling. You can either fight these or just run straight through this area until it opens into another Glintstone cave.
In this area, you can simply run down the steps and continue straight on past the Miners into another tunnel that leads to another lift. This will take you down to the bottom level, where you will find a boss wall.
The Crystalian
The Boss of the mine is the Crystalian. Just like the Miners, the Crystalian is weak to Strike damage but very strong against other damage types. It will retain this resistance until you break its Stance for the first time, so use attacks and spells that do good Poise damage. The Crystalian attacks with a ranged throw weapon while also performing spinning melee attacks. The Crystalian does not do huge damage or have much health, so concentrate on staggering it, and you will soon prevail.
The defeated boss will drop the Smithing-Stone Miner’s Bell Bearing 1. Now you can take this to the Roundtable Hold and present it to the Twin Maiden Husks to buy all the Smithing Stones 1 and 2 you want.
