Capturing beasts allows you to house them in the protected Room of Requirement, far from the dangerous poachers lurking around the world. Diricawl is one of the types of beasts players are able to capture, and these beasts should be found in order to complete Professor Howin’s assignment to get Bombarda. Here are the different places you can find Diricawl.

Where To Find Diricawl

Diricawl Location On Map

Diricawl can be tricky beasts to find early on in the game. Until you’ve traveled to the further south section of the map, there will only be one Diricawl location for you to use. This is the same location that’ll be marked on your map when attempting to complete Professor Howin’s Assignment to get Bombarda. This den is found in the Hogwarts Valley, starting at the West Hogwarts Valley Floo flame — you have to travel southeast from there on your broom to the ruins on the cliff’s edge.

After reaching the far southern region of the map, more dens can be found. This southern region can only be accessed by traversing a large tunnel full of Ranrock loyalists, with players also blocked from flying over the map. The next closest one is along the southern coast of the Poidsear Coast. The next den is along the eastern coast of the Marunween Lake region, between the two bridges. The last two Diricawl dens can be found on the Clagmar Coast, along the eastern and the western coast, both along small peninsulas.

Beasts And What To Do With Them

Player Capturing Diricawl With The Nap-Sack

Players are able to catch beasts using their nap-sack after attending beast class. Revisiting the Room Of Requirement will give you access to a place to keep your beasts after capturing them. Over time, you’ll unlock new areas to keep your beasts, with each beast living best in the specific room they prefer. After obtaining a beast in the nab-sack, return to the Room of Requirement, and release the beast in the room that best fits them, where they can roam in the decently sized closed-off area.

Once you own a beast, you can feed and brush them, while they will provide you with unique items you can use for potions. The Diricawl will occasionally offer the players the ability to harvest their feathers as long as they are being taken care of. Diricawl feathers are used to weave upgrades into your gear and require the loom to begin upgrading.
