One Piece Chapter 1074 Recap
The previous chapter, titled “Mark III,” started with World Government officials being attacked by a new Pasifista model named “Mark III” with an ability called “Bubble Shield,” the strongest shield made by Vegapunk that could defend against any attack. This new model was far better than the prototypes used in the Paramount War. It was later revealed that Sentoumaru was the one behind releasing them, who was currently being treated. Sentoumaru’s plan was to use Mark III to help Vegapunk escape Egghead Island with Straw Hat Crew.
Cut to Labophase, Luffy was tired of all the running and fighting and also broke his shoes. Upon asking Bonney and Vegapunk’s whereabouts, Shaka replied that Bonney was within the building, which was constantly being monitored. He then informed everyone present about the situation with Frontier Dome, and the one to leave would be destroyed by the security system. Shaka told everyone to find the real Vegapunk and started repairing the Frontier Dome.
Franky couldn’t locate him, and Shaka assumed that, after the attack, Den Den Mushi’s position must have changed, and Vegapunk might be in a blind spot. Pythagoras, Nami, Stussy, and other Straw Hat members decide to find Vegapunk but didn’t allow Zoro to go, believing he will get lost himself. Zoro and Luffy stayed behind to look after Lucci and Kaku.
Bonney was in a dream world, watching the memories of her father. Some people were bullying him, and Kuma begged for help while Bonney watched him with tears in her eyes. Bonney resolved to watch her father’s memories bravely to know everything about him, and suddenly, the part of the building where Pythagoras was standing exploded.
Outside Egghead Island, World Economy Newspaper’s ships were flying in the sky, where we also spotted Vivi and Wapol alongside Morgans. He wanted to portray Luffy and Straw Hats as Vegapunks’ kidnappers while the World Government tried to save him. Vivi berated Morgans stating that Luffy would never do such a thing, and Wapol told her to keep her voice down, fearing that the government might be listening to them. Morgans stated that it didn’t matter if his stories were lies or true unless they were entertaining.
