Oscar-winning actress Nicole Kidman will star in Taylor Sheridan’s new CIA TV show, Lioness, which also features Laysla De Oliveira and Zoe Saldana. The show is called Lioness, and it’s based on a real-world CIA unit.

De Oliveira plays Cruz Manuelos, a “rough-around-the-edges” young Marine who joins the Lioness Engagement Team at the CIA to take down a terrorist group. Saldana plays the station chief, Joe, and Kidman portrays Kaitlyn Meade, a CIA senior supervisor.

“She must juggle the trappings of being a woman in the high-ranking intelligence community, a wife who longs for the attention she herself can’t even give, and a mentor to someone veering suspiciously close to the same rocky road she’s found herself on,” reads a line from the show’s description, as shared by The Hollywood Reporter.

Kidman is also an executive producer on Lioness, which is in the works for Paramount+. She has earned five Oscar nominations over her career, winning one for The Hours.

Sheridan is an accomplished writer and director known for films like Sicario, Hell or High Water, Wind River, and Those Who Wish Me Dead. He also co-created and wrote Yellowstone and its spinoffs 1883 and 1923. Additionally, Sheridan is the co-creator of the Jeremy Renner drama Mayor of Kingstown.

He is an actor, too, having most popularly starred on Sons of Anarchy as David Hale.
