Destiny 2 is known for its three classes, and the Titans are the most tank-like and heavily armored of the three. 10/10 Actium War Rig
This exotic armor is on this list purely because of how fun it can be. Actium War Rig has the intrinsic perk, Auto-Loading Link, which steadily reloads your equipped Auto Rifle or Machine Gun’s magazines from reserves. This essentially means that you’d never have to reload either of these weapons, as long as you don’t shoot too much. This exotic is especially fun when paired with the exotic weapon Sweet Business, which is essentially a hand held minigun.
It is best used in PvE as you will have plenty of targets to shoot and have fun with. Actium War Rig can be found by opening exotic engrams or by being purchased from Xur.
9/10 Lion Rampant
Lion Rampant makes this list because of its multiple ways it can be used. Its intrinsic perk, Jump Jets, provides improved aerial mobility as well as the ability to accurately hip fire in the air. This leg armor is perfect for anyone who struggles with jumping puzzles during raids and dungeons, or mobility in the different seasonal arena activities. Especially useful if your Titan is seriously lacking in the Mobility stat.
This armor piece is also a good choice for those who’d like to out-maneuver their opponents in the Crucible or Gambit activities with an aerial advantage. Lion Rampant can be acquired through opening exotic engrams or being purchased from Xur over the weekend if he has it in stock.
8/10 Armamentarium
Not only does Armamentarium look cool and fit with any armored Titan’s fashion, it also has a very fun and useful intrinsic perk. And Another Thing simply allows you to gain another grenade charge of your choice! This can be very useful in both PvP and PvE activities — especially if you have your Discipline armor stat at 100 for maximum grenade throwing ability.
This armor really helps with grenade based challenges to defeat combatants and/or enemy Guardians. Using arc storm grenades and void vortex grenades makes this armor extra dangerous in all activities. Armamentarium can be gained by opening exotic engrams or can be bought from Xur over the weekend at his random locations.
7/10 Helm Of Saint-14
This exotic helmet is for those void Titans who like to play more defensively in activities. The Helm of Saint-14’s intrinsic perk, Starless Night, modifies the void subclass super Ward of Dawn. Any enemies who enter the bubble become blinded, and any allies gain an overshield that they take with them when they leave the area.
It also modifies the other void super, Sentinel Shield, and blinds enemies while blocking with the shield. Using this helmet with the Ward of Dawn super has become quite meta in Crucible activities and high difficulty PvE encounters. You can find this helmet by once again opening exotic engrams as well as visiting Xur over the weekend.
6/10 Synthoceps
Synthoceps are the best choice for a Titan that wants to do what Titans do best: punching things. These beastly looking arms have the intrinsic perk Biotic Enhancements, which increase your melee range. They also increase your melee and super damage when surrounded by enemies. These arms shine best in PvE arenas such as strikes and encounters in raids and dungeons where clearing enemies fast in close quarters is needed.
Pairing these babies with a shotgun, SMG, or fusion rifle is highly recommended as you will be spending most of your time up close and personal with enemies most of the time. The Synthoceps can be found like the others by opening exotic engrams and visiting Xur during the weekend.
5/10 Dunemarchers
The Dunemarchers are very good for Titans who love to run fast and then hit hard. Their intrinsic perk, called Linear Actuators, increases your sprint speed and builds up a static charge. After melee attacking an enemy, the charge will chain to nearby enemies. When these are paired with the new Arc 3.0 Titan abilities, they are really a sight to behold and can defeat many enemies at a time with a single punch.
The Dunemarchers are a good fit for use in any PvP or PvE activities, and are best paired with an SMG or shotgun in your loadout. This armor piece can be found same as always from an exotic engram drop or by finding Xur during the weekend.
4/10 Heart Of Inmost Light
No matter what subclass you use, this exotic chest piece could be the right choice for you. The Heart of Inmost Light has the intrinsic perk Overflowing Light, which empowers your other two abilities after you use one of them. For example, if you threw a grenade, your shield would refresh faster and have more hit points, and your melee ability would do more damage. This is a great support exotic that will help you use your abilities faster as well as having improved effects.
Any weapons can be used while wearing this exotic armor. Use whatever you like best and what you’re good with. This armor is great in any game mode, PvE or PvP. The Heart of Inmost Light can be found by opening exotic engrams or by being purchased from Xur.
3/10 No Backup Plans
These exotic gauntlets are perfect for those who like to get close and personal with their enemies. No Backup Plan’s intrinsic perk Force Multiplier, activates Defensive Strike when your melee energy is full and when you get a final blow with a shotgun. Shotgun final blows also give you melee ability energy. Defensive Strike is a good ability to proc because it will give you and surrounding allies an overshield when you use the void subclass.
This exotic is useful in any activities where you will be in close range with enemies, such as some Crucible maps and strikes. Unlike the previous exotics in this list, this one can only be acquired by completing Legendary or Master difficulty lost sectors on certain days of the week. It is a rare drop on the former and a common drop on the latter.
2/10 Cuirass Of The Falling Star
If you want to do as much damage with a super as a Titan can do, look no further than the Cuirass Of The Falling Star. This exotic’s intrinsic trait, Glorious Charge, increases the Thundercrash arc super ability impact damage as well as granting an overshield in the air based on the distance traveled before hitting the target. This is the obvious choice for Titans to use during boss encounters in raids and dungeons.
It can also be amazingly broken in PvP as well because of the overshield. Any weapons can be used while wearing this armor because it doesn’t affect them. Like the previous entry, this armor piece can only be acquired from Legendary or Master lost sectors on a given day of the week.
1/10 Loreley Splendor Helm
This exotic helmet makes the number one spot for multiple reasons. It’s intrinsic perk, Cauterizing Flame, spawns a Sunspot at your location when you’re injured that will begin healing you. It is important to note that the Sunspot that spawns when injured consumes your shield ability charge. If you have a high Resilience stat, this will make you be able to stay alive even longer, as your shield will recharge very fast.
This helmet is an obvious choice for Titans that need to keep themselves alive for a long time by themselves. It’s great for survivability in raids and dungeon activities. As with the previous two entries, Loreley Splendor Helm can only be gained from Legendary or Master lost sectors on certain days of the week.
