Warzone 2’s DMZ has quickly become a widely popular mode within Modern Warfare 2. In fact, some may argue that DMZ has completely overshadowed Warzone 2 itself, due to its appeal to both hardcore and casual players. DMZ features an array of different rewards that players can obtain and use in other modes. These include the M13B Assault Rifle, the Chimera Assault Rifle, the Caution Tape Weapon Blueprint, and the Silver Tox Weapon Blueprint.

Preparation

best setup for Building 21

For players looking to get the Silver Tox Chimera Blueprint in Modern Warfare 2, you must first be equipped to take on everything Building 21 has to offer. You will have limited deployments into Building 21 depending on the number of DRC Building 21 Access Cards available in your inventory, thus making the stakes that much higher. With that being the case, consider our below tips to prepare for the worst.

  • Squad up with players who you can trust and communicate with: While playing DMZ with randoms can be a fun experience, we recommend you take two players who you can trust and talk to into Building 21. Doing so will allow you to communicate and strategize, thus increasing your likelihood of getting the Weapon Case.

  • Bring a Three-Plate Armor Vest: Building 21 is home to dozens of hostile bots, and players whom you encounter will likely be aggressive too. Ensure you have a Three-Plate Armor Vest in your inventory before heading into Building 21 to provide you with the best protection against incoming enemy fire.

  • Use your insured weapon: Using your insured weapon slot will allow you to take some of the best weapons, with optimal attachments, into DMZ. The RAAL MG is a devastating Light-Machine Gun with a high-damage output and large-ammo capacity, the perfect choice for Building 21’s hordes of AI. Alternatively, you could consider the STB 556, which offers high mobility and handling to better suit close-range engagements, great for Building 21’s tight spaces.

  • Ensure you have a Self-Revive Kit: Self-Revives are essential for picking yourself up after being downed, especially if your teammates are unable to revive you themselves. We recommend you find one in Al Mazrah first, exfil, and then head to Building 21. In Al Mazrah, Self-Revives can typically be found within first-aid kits in bathrooms or hospitals. They can also be found in Supply Drops and Legendary Supply Boxes. Alternatively, you could make use of a Revive Pistol, which can be found the same way.

  • Take Flash Grenades: Flash Grenades can prove effective in blinding players who aim to eliminate you and steal all your loot. They can even work well against players who have Battle Hardened, although they will be stunned for a notably shorter duration. If you are caught in a pinch, chuck a Flash and then take the opportunity to strike.

  • Equip Claymores or Proximity Mines: Both pieces of equipment can be used to set traps for players and AI. Make sure to plant them in flank routes, or to fortify the entrances of the rooms your squad is operating in. The latter option can be paired with a Deployable Cover to conceal your explosives from the players who are outside. Other team members can equip Semtex and Frag Grenades for dealing with crowds of AI.

  • Munition Boxes are your best friend: Munition Boxes are essential for keeping yourself and your squad mates stocked up on equipment and ammunition. Running out of ammunition is one of the worst things that can happen in DMZ, and may result in an unsuccessful run.

Getting The Building 21 Weapon Case

Building 21 DMZ Modern Warfare 2

Right as you spawn into Building 21, it is important to remember to be on guard for other enemy players, as you will typically spawn within the vicinity of another team. Loot up in the immediate area you spawn into for Armor Plates and other valuable items, then wait for the match countdown timer to reach 11 minutes. This is when the Server Room will open, which is a crucial step for getting the Silver Tox Blueprint.

Hacking the Server Room in building 21 DMZ

You will need to make your way to the Server Room located on the basement level of the map. Once here, locate the required terminal and hold interact to hack it. Once the hacking process begins, enemy AI will start to push your location. Ensure that two players in your squad are defending and fortifying the area, while the remaining member hacks the terminal. After you have finished hacking the Server Room, you will see an onscreen alert informing you that the Armory has been opened upstairs.

Explosives like Semtex and Frag Grenades are great for taking out clusters of AI in tight areas such as corridors and staircases. However, they do make a racket, thus alerting other players of your presence.

The Armory in DMZ's building 21

Now you will need to head to the Armory, which is located on the top floor of Building 21. It can be identified as a room with a wooden office door that has a no-trespassing warning sticker next to it. On your way there, make sure to be cautious of AI and players. Most importantly, avoid the Wilson robot boss patrolling the top floor. Once you have reached the Armory, you can go ahead and loot the Legendary Supply Boxes before moving on to the next crucial step. Here you will have to drill into a Safe, which contains a Weapon Case. During the drilling process, AI will begin moving over to your position. Ensure all members of your squad focus on defending the area.

Once you have cracked open the safe, you can open it up and take the Weapon Case from inside. However, enemy players will be able to track the location of the player holding it. Converse with your squad and ensure that everyone is stocked up on heals, ammunition, and armor plates before taking the Weapon Case. It is also recommended that you do not take the Weapon Case until there are 7 minutes or less remaining on the match timer, as this is the point where the Exfil Elevators are opened.

Now you will need to head to the Exfil elevator as a squad, being cautious of enemy players and AI along the way. Once at the elevator you can call it in with the interact button and wait for a countdown for it to arrive. All that is left now is to jump into the elevator at the first opportunity you are given, defending the area right until the doors close.

Do not worry all too much if members of your team are eliminated at this point. If the squad member holding the Weapon Case successfully extracts, then the progress will count for all teammates regardless if they are alive or not.
