So, the episode starts with Aki struggling to get himself out of Ghost Devil’s hand and recalling his time with Himeno when she convinced him to smoke a cigarette. Aki tells her that he is underage, and she keeps the cigarette and says that she will give him back when he grows up. Suddenly, the Ghost Devil loosens its grip and hands him the same cigarette with “easy revenge” written on it. He keeps the cigarette in his pocket and recalls how Himeno taught him that Ghost Devil doesn’t have eyes and sees people through their fear. Aki takes out his sword and kills Ghost Devil by chopping its head. Akane is surprised by Aki’s attack and is about to summon the Snake Devil. But Kobeni stops her by holding a knife to her neck, and Aki tells her not to kill Akane.

Denji meets Katana Man on the thirteenth floor, and the latter blames the former for killing his grandfather. But Denji explains he killed him as he turned into a zombie. Katana Man denies it and asks if he feels even a bit guilty about what he did, but Denji denies it. Katana Man states that he (Denji) has become cold-hearted, and if he still has some human feelings left inside of him, he should surrender. Denji thinks for a moment and then rejects his offer, infuriating the Katana Man. Both of them then turn into their Devil forms and start fighting.

The fight starts on a rooftop, and eventually, they find themselves fighting on a train, where Katana Man uses his special move and cuts off Denji’s arm. He uses the same move again and cuts his other arm. At this point, Katana Man believes that he has almost won, but Denji says that he has one more chainsaw left on his head, so the fight isn’t over. They exchange their final blows, and Denji’s head chainsaw is shattered into pieces. But suddenly, Katana Man’s body is sliced into two clear pieces, and Denji reveals one more chainsaw on his right leg.

The scene then cuts to Makima, who explains to her superiors that Akane had a contract with Gun Devil and supplied guns to the Yakuza, and in return, she asked them to get her Chainsaw Devil’s heart. Upon asking why she needed his heart, Makima explains that before they could know that, she was killed by the Snake Devil. Makima then reveals that they have gathered enough Gun Devil’s body parts to easily track down the main body.

Denji’s Dreams And Reze’s Introduction

Denji dreams and Reze introduction

In the last part of the episode, Aki can be seen smoking the same cigarette given to him by Himeno, while Denji and Power pass out after eating food. Denji has a dream where he sees his younger self and reaches a door at the end of the alleyway. But as soon as he tries to open the door, Pochita warns him never to open the door. Denji remembers having the same dream before but always forgetting about it.

At the end of the episode, a mysterious woman can be seen walking the streets and saying, “Tell me, Denji, between the country mouse and the city mouse, which would you rather be?” Well, the new girl introduced is Reze, also known as the Bomb Girl — a Hybrid known from the Soviet Union — sent on a mission to take Chainsaw Man’s heart. Being a Bomb Devil, she pulls a pin on her neck, after which she explodes and transforms into the Devil. Her explosions are powerful enough to blow off humans, vehicles, and even buildings.
