Ghost Of A Tale 2 Confirmed With New Screenshot
As spotted by Gaming Bolt, the developer behind Ghost of a Tale recently revealed on Twitter that the development of the next installment in the series has already begun. The developer first teased the new project with a screenshot on Twitter, then went on to explain in the comments that this is the next Ghost of a Tale experience.
If you have had sharp eyes for indie games in the last few years, then you probably know about Ghost of a Tale, an indie action RPG following the story of a mouse in a fantasy world. The game did receive positive reviews from fans back then, with 92% of Steam players suggesting it as a worthy experience.
As the developer reveals, Ghost of a Tale 2 will be developed using Unreal Engine 5. The developer was actually spending several months learning development with the new engine, which is the reason why we didn’t hear anything for a while about the series. The original game was developed using Unity.
Unfortunately, there is no release window for the sequel at the moment, but we will probably hear more about it this year, and maybe an official trailer to reveal the game later this year. Also, the developer didn’t reveal the target platforms just yet, but we can expect it to be available on both consoles and PC similar to the original game, especially knowing that the game is using Unreal Engine 5, which could mean the developer targets a high bar in the visual quality of the game.
Ghost of a Tale is currently available on Steam with a 70% discount for a limited time. The original game doesn’t require a high-end PC as you can experience it pretty well with GTX 770. So, if you prefer a story-driven adventure in a medieval universe of animals, then this is your chance to get prepared for the Ghost of a Tale sequel.
The console version of the game is available on PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch, but you can use backward compatibility to play the game on current-gen consoles as well.
