Using your favorite weapon skin, or just a new skin, can give Valorant an improved look and feel. Seeing the same old default skins can get boring over time (trust me, we know). Valorant players are in luck, however, because Riot Games has created some of the most exciting gun skins in the genre. From gun frames that are hollowed out to be an aquarium to the gun being replaced entirely by a dragon, Valorant players have fantastic weapon skins to pick from.
Customizing your character or loadout can enhance your connection to a game and improve your experience. In FPS games, weapon skins are the primary way to customize your setup or showcase your style. These Valorant weapon skins can improve visuals, provide unique audio components, and, in some cases, even include special effects like finishers or kill counters.
10/10 RGX 11z Pro
If you’re a Valorant veteran, you could have guessed that the RGX 11z Pro would be on the list. The RGX is one of the most popular skin collections, and for good reasons. With a wide variety of color options, a kill counter to track your frags, and a unique crosshair when aiming down the sight, the RGX has it all.
The RGX skins were so popular that Riot Games brought the collection back for a second separate bundle. One bundle features the Frenzy, Stinger, Guardian, and Vandal, while the other comes with Classic, Spectre, Phantom, and Operator skins. Both bundles included a different Melee skin: a blade that extends when brought out and a butterfly knife.
9/10 Glitchpop
Another popular collection, and one that got two bundles like the RGX, is the highly animated Glitchpop collection. Glitchpop skins are known for their vibrant colors, popped-out graphics, and sci-fi aesthetic. These skins look like they came straight out of a cyberpunk universe.
Glitchpop has two excellent Melee skins to choose from. One is a dagger that looks like a miniature lightsaber, while the other is a switchblade-like axe that unfolds as you equip. Glitchpop is a great collection for people that like neon signs, big cities, and futuristic looks.
8/10 Spectrum
One of the coolest ways to finish a round is to get the final elimination with a Spectrum skin. When you do, the map turns the lights down and turns the beat up. The Spectrum collection plays audio components composed by Anton “Zedd” Zaslavski, who was contracted to help with the development of the collection.
The DJ and songwriter Zedd helped design the Spectrum sound effects. These sounds appear when inspecting skins, finishing a round, and getting any number of kills in a given round. For extra variety, each of the Spectrum weapon skins has a unique melody when inspecting.
7/10 Gaia’s Vengeance
When designing Valorant, Riot Games embraced creativity in their world-building. Unlike their closest competitor Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, Valorant doesn’t stay grounded in realistic motifs. This allows Riot Games to create weapon skins like Gaia’s Vengeance, which looks more like a living plant than a gun.
This set shines the brightest in its animations and details. The Gaia’s Vengeance finisher sprouts a tree that encapsulates the final eliminated opponent. The skins have small leaves growing on their branches and falling off when the weapon moves. These small additions make this collection stand out as one of the best.
6/10 Magepunk
The Magepunk collection is an electric-powered weapon series that looks both retro and futuristic. With an aesthetic that would fit in alongside any steampunk universe, Magepunk looks as if a mad scientist created it with a glimpse of the future and a reverence for the past.
If you manage to get the final kill with a Magepunk skin, the finisher animation entraps the opponent in a glass cage before electrifying it. The skins are a great mix between Victorian-era, homemade, and cutting-edge technology. Magepunk is a scientific experiment gone completely right.
5/10 Singularity
The Singularity skins look like they are being ripped apart and put back together. Like an unstable spaceship entering a black hole, the pieces of a Singularity skin fragment and tear before being pulled together.
These skins look like alien technology, being bound together and operating beyond our human understanding. The Sheriff’s reload animation has the player put the clip near the gun before the weapon sucks it into place like a gravitational pull forcing an object back into position. These skins are perfect for those who like the sci-fi aesthetic over grounded realism.
4/10 Prelude To Chaos
If a survival-horror game and a futurist military shooter shared their design ideas, you would get the Prelude To Chaos collection. A combination of gritty realism and advanced weaponry make these skins look like they are ready to take down a monster from the depths of a dungeon. Heavy bullet sound effects and incredible animations make this set unforgettable.
The round finisher is the absolute highlight of this collection. Upon getting the final elimination, the Prelude To Chaos spawns desecrated ground below the opponent. Chains then leap out from the fiery ground to grab the opponent and drag them down below the surface.
3/10 Sentinels Of Light
The Sentinels Of Light lean towards fantasy elements and are best known for their large crystals, which seemingly give them their power. Whenever you equip or reload a Sentinels Of Light skin, the crystals that make up the barrel of the weapon spin around before realigning.
If the Prelude To Chaos would represent the dark side of Valorant skins, the Sentinels Of Light would be their antithesis. Along with light colors and clear effects, the Sentinels Of Light collection also brings fantasy themes that are reminiscent of paladins, justice, or righteousness.
2/10 Radiant Crisis 001
One of the most outlandish skin collections in Valorant is the Radiant Crisis 001 set. With a pencil-drawn comic book look, the Radiant Crisis 001 collection pops off the screen. In contrast to the realistic-meets-cartoony graphics of Valorant, the hand-drawn comic book aesthetics of Radiant Crisis 001 sharply stand out.
The high point of this collection is in the animations. Nothing can emphasize your awesomeness more than seeing a “CLICK!” “WHACK!” or “BOOM!” narrating your actions. The finisher is the pinnacle of these animations as it gives your opponent a comic book thrashing before sending them off into the sunset on a rocket.
1/10 BlastX
If you have ever enjoyed playing with a toy gun, you can tap into your nostalgia with the BlastX collection. The developers did an amazing job creating the plastic look that makes the skins almost able to be felt just by looking at them.
The bullets from a BlastX skin look exactly like a foam dart with a suction cup as a tip. Your weapon sprays will also leave these foam darts behind, attached to the wall. To add to the toy scheme, BlastX skins come wrapped in decorative paper that is torn off as you equip the weapon.
