Overview

Evil West Felicity growing in size after going to the second phase

Felicity has mostly distinct phases, with only 1 and 2 sharing similarities, but new moves still are added or extended. Felicity grows larger and gets more aggressive as you progress through the fight while she throws out taunts between hits. Phases 1 and 2 are close-range brawls that require you to dodge precisely and take advantage of openings while she jumps around and keeps sticking to you for the most part.

In Phase 3, she becomes massive, requiring you to take cover from her monstrous attacks while looking for any weak spots. You also look for an opportunity to attack when she becomes vulnerable, which is the perfect time to land some melee attacks. Each phase comes with a checkpoint to spare you from the grind should you fail in any particular stage, which allows you to maintain the momentum of the fight even when defeated.

Move Set

Felicity Evil West Slide Attack that leaves damage area behind

Phase One

  • Opens with one Slide attack that leaves behind a fiery trail that damages when touched.
    • Followed by a leap attack on top of the player
  • Both hands up overhead and slam in front
  • Right arm spin overhead slam
  • Left arm grab attack
  • Glowing red attack (drops health if kicked)
  • Jump to slam attack
  • Felicity does a smaller hop before slamming the ground and sending out shock waves at you. She does between 2-3, with the third having a weak spot to shoot.

Phase Two

Felicity grows in size and gets more aggressive with her slide attack, gaining more slides to create lots more damage zones. Afterward, she is vulnerable to attack. She uses a similar moveset with a bit more reach due to her larger size. Additionally, she jumps onto the wall to drop debris on you. She has three weak points to shoot during this, and for the Health Pickups drops, just watch out for the circles on the ground and her leap attack when she is done.

Phase Three

Felicity grows even larger, and the fight becomes more of a puzzle where you have to survive her attacks until she becomes vulnerable. Focus on dodging the projectiles and shock wave attacks she sends out while waiting for her to expose a weak spot. Most of this phase is avoiding projectile attacks, shooting weak spots, and hiding in the cover she causes to fall.

  • Weak Spot exposes before she slams the ground sending a shockwave around her. Hard to dodge, so make sure you shoot it.
  • She can also send shock waves in a line at you, with the third one exposing a weak spot.
  • She starts slamming the floor, causing debris to fall from the ceiling. Avoid the warning indicators that appear on the ground, indicating the spot where they’ll land.
  • After the cover is dropped, she will throw five projectiles at you. These can be dodged with a well-timed roll, or you can hide behind the cover to block them. The cover is destroyed after three hits, so be ready to move after it breaks. The fifth one she throws will expose a weak spot.
  • After throwing projectiles, Felicity jumps up and comes crashing down on the player. Sprint away as soon as you see her do this to avoid the massive damage.
  • Lastly, she will scream and charge up an explosion around herself after becoming vulnerable to a beatdown. Hide behind the cover to avoid the blast, and then it’s your turn to do some damage.

Winning Strategies

Felicity on the wall second phase being shot in weak spots

  • Dodge her attacks, as they can’t be blocked unless her yellow stun bar is full.
  • Each phase has a checkpoint, so get comfortable with the moves and try to burst her down as she nears the lower thirds of her health bar to make lasting progress.
  • The Crippling Rod is a powerful tool in this fight, especially in phase 3, since you can skip a whole rotation and go right into the punishment with the stun.
  • Use every tool in your arsenal to pump damage into her and progress through the phases while staying on your toes and dodging her powerful leap attacks and grab.
  • After the first encounter of the level and before the fight, you can respec your perk points and upgrades. It can be a good idea to get rid of perks that are not useful in a boss fight for those that are.
  • In phase three, when you see her charging her jump, sprint in a straight line to dodge it. You are already too late if you aren’t running before the circle appears.
  • Each phase has Health Pickups that can drop. There is a secret achievement for beating her without using your self-heal and instead relying on these drops or just never getting hit.
  • In phase 3, be aware of the cover, as you will need it in a pinch and lose it in a heartbeat. When she throws things, you can dodge them, but her charged-up wave will require cover to not get hurt.
  • Don’t get boxed in by her charge attack. Stay calm and dodge to the side to avoid taking multiple hits and gaining your bearings. Try baiting her into leaving the damaging area to spots where you don’t plan on fighting her, thus staying clear of damage.
