While some Incantations focus on damaging enemies, they offer other effects to help you dominate the fight instead of just finishing off the enemy.
Lots of Sorceries and Incantations focus on dealing damage from a distance, and magic wielders are left with few options if enemies get close. Wrath of Gold gives Faith builds the ability to contend with groups of close enemies, dealing a shockwave of Holy damage that will knock small enemies flat on their back. Elden Ring is full of groups of enemies that attack the player at once, and having a spell that can protect the caster from all angles is invaluable.
How To Get Wrath Of Gold
Wrath of Gold is located in the ruins of a church in the Altus Plateau.
- Start at the Bower of Bounty site of grace, and begin heading east.
- Follow the road east until you reach the end, and head south to the nearby church.
- In this area and surrounding the church are many Lesser Wormface enemies. These enemies have the ability to give Death Blight build-up which will kill you instantly if the bar fills up, so killing them quickly or running past them is your best option.
Many Lesser Wormface attacks are cloud-based, and you can negate or reduce the build-up effects as needed. After clearing the enemies within the church, there is a central staircase leading to the underground area. Head down the stairs and through the door to reveal a small room. Loot the single chest in the room to obtain the Wrath of Gold Incantation.
How To Use Wrath Of Gold
Wrath Of Gold requires 32 Faith to memorize and 40 FP to cast. This Incantation creates a shockwave that originates from the caster and expands in all directions around them. Wrath of Gold deals Holy damage and can be charged up to offer more damage and a wider area of effect. It also has a relatively fast cast time, making it great for reactive battles or quickly defending yourself from a charging enemy.
This spell is most effective against multiple enemies roughly the same size as yourself. Enemies of that size or smaller can be entirely knocked on their back, briefly stunning them after the initial knockback. This spell excels in controlling the battlefield and can be used to combo a downed enemy to get around a shield or tougher defense. This Incantation has one of the shorter cast times compared to other spells, making it a viable option to switch between casting this spell in one hand and fighting with your main hand weapon.
