Pokemon Scarlet & Violet: How To Get Sinistea
Sinistea is one of the strongest Ghost-Type Pokemon in Scarlet and Violet, and here’s a location guide to help you find and catch it.
Sinistea is a popular Ghost-Type Pokemon that eventually evolves into Polteageist. This Pokemon is a bit elusive in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet and might not be easy to find on your first try.
Sinistea is a strong Ghost-Type and will be a great addition to your roster when battling Psychic and Ghost Pokemon. There are a few locations where you can find the little Black Tea Pokemon in the game to sharpen your team.
Sinistea’s Frequent Habitats
Sinistea is currently available in only a small handful of locations in Paldea. The above map shows the few areas where Sinistea can be spotted, which are areas where the Pokemon will be high-level. In the South Province (Area Six) location, Sinisteas will range from level 40 to around level 43. In the East Province (Area Three) location, Sinisteas will be around Level 28 to Level 31.
In these small areas, Sinistea will most often be located nearby towns and ruins, especially right towards the entrance of a town by a Pokemon Center. We are going to now go over some specific locations where Sinistea can frequently be discovered.
Sinistea In East Province (Area Three)
The first location where Sinistea can be spotted is in East Province (Area Three), the best location for early game Trainers. The Sinisteas you find in this area will be close to Level 30, so make sure your Pokemon are strong enough to take it on. Follow these steps to make your search easier.
- In this area, you can start by flying to the Zapapico (East) Pokemon Center.
- Based on the map, head a little bit east outside of the town.
- Sinistea will often be close to the dirt path.
- Once you find Sinistea, approach it either by using the ZR Button to throw a Poke Ball or just approach it directly.
- In the battle, dwindle down its HP to make it easier to catch. You should be able to catch it relatively easily with a regular Poke Ball. If it seems to be stubborn, a Great Ball will work as well.
You can make Sinistea easier to find by creating a sandwich that gives a boost to Ghost Encounter Power. Some ingredients that give a boost to Ghost include Herbed Sausage, Potato Salad, Red Onion, and Curry Powder.
Sinistea In South Province (Area Six)
The other location where you can find Sinistea is in South Province (Area Six), which will be for higher-level Trainers. The Sinistea in this area will most likely be above level 40, so you will want to beat a few Gyms, Bases, or Titans beforehand. The steps below will guide you to the best spot to find the tiny Pokemon.
- Start by flying to the Alfornada Pokemon Center.
- Based on the map, head a little bit south, and there should be a lot of Sinistea in this area.
- They will be close to the very bottom of the map, not too far from the surrounding water.
- Once again, you can approach the Sinistea directly or use the ZR Button to throw a Poke Ball and startle it.
- These Sinistea will be higher-level, but if you dwindle its HP significantly, you should be able to catch it with a regular Poke Ball.
If you find no Sinistea nearby, you can frequently go into the Alfornada town and come back out to reset the Pokemon in the area. Eventually, a Sinistea should appear.
