Episode 7 ended on a major cliffhanger, with the academy being invaded by the fake Shadow Garden and Cid getting hurt in an attempt to save Rose. A preview of Episode 8 has been released ahead of the premiere this week, revealing that the situation is becoming more intense in the academy. The fake Shadow Garden blocks the spells, making it harder for our heroes to fight. But, being the student council president, Rose seems determined to fight and win the battle at all costs and protect her comrades.
Recap For The Eminence In Shadow Episode 7
The survivor who was handed over to Nu for interrogation turns out to be a soldier for the Cult of Diabolos, and reveals that the soldiers are mostly orphans brainwashed using drugs and magic. It is then revealed that one of the cult soldiers, Rex, is in the city to carry out the mission. In the meantime, Cid is listed in the sword tournament to be held in the academy, while Nu believes that Cid is planning to deal with Rex somehow.
Cid stands against Rose in the tournament and keeps his exceptional skills to himself, letting Rose injure him. Although Cid loses, Rose seems impressed by his fighting spirit. The scene then cuts to Sherry, who tells Cid to remain friends first before they start dating, but Cid has no clue who Sherry is. Sherry then asks Alexia about her and Cid’s relationship, and she feels happy to hear that their relationship is totally fake. But Alexia seems quite upset after realizing that other girls are showing interest in Cid.
In the middle of everything, the academy is suddenly attacked by a fake Shadow Garden, and Gaunt Knight uses an anti-magic barrier to make sure no one is able to use magic. Rose decides to fight but can’t do anything as she lacks magic due to the barrier. As she is about to get killed, Cid saves her but gets hurt in the process.
