Latest Nvidia Driver Update Fixes Modern Warfare 2 Flashing Corruption Issue
Along with a few fixes for Forza Horizon 5 and Call of Duty Vanguard.
Nvidia driver update 526.86 is now available for download, delivering a number of fixes to multiple games and game engines, including fixes for Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 and Call of Duty Vanguard to provide the best possible experience on these titles (courtesy of DSOG).
According to the official patch notes shared by Nvidia, the new patch fixes a flashing corruption issue in Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 that could be seen when playing the game. If you have had a similar problem, it is strongly suggested to install the latest Nvidia driver update, especially if you are planning to play Warzone 2 when it launches next week. The patch also improves the game’s stability on Nvidia GPUs.
Other than that, the new Nvidia update fixes a crash problem with Call of Duty Vanguard, which might not have as many players as Modern Warfare 2 at the moment, but it still has its own community playing the game. Moreover, a fix for Forza Horizon 5 has been applied as well, which eliminates the issue of rainbow-like artifacts in the game. Known Issues
- Toggling HDR on and off in-game causes game stability issues when non-native resolution is used.
- [DirectX 12] Shadowplay recordings may appear over exposed when Use HDR is enabled from the Windows display settings.
- Monitor may briefly flicker on waking from display sleep if DSR/DLDSR is enabled.
- Maxon – Cinema4D + Redshift3D vidmemory allocations cause TDR or Driver Crash
- RedCine-X Pro potential crash while working with effects during video playback
- Desktop Window Manager (dwm.exe) service may report higher GPU usage on some RTX 30- series configurations
