Blue Lock Episode 5 Recap

The episode starts with the match between Team Y, and Team Z. Isagi remains beside Niko to block him if he has to, and Niko talks to him about Ego’s words related to “find your weapon.” The match is about to end, and Team Y makes a last try to win the game, which involves running toward the other side. Niko passes the ball to Okhawa, and due to Isagi’s correct interpretation, he gets the ball and he scores a goal, finally winning the game.

Everyone is surprised by Isagi’s judgment, which makes Kunigami and Gagamaru ask him how he did it. According to Kunigami, his weapon is “smelling” a goal. Isagi finds Chigiri watching the footage of the game and asks about his weapon, but he doesn’t say anything about it. He then tells him about his ACL injury, which makes him anxious about getting injured while playing.

Ego updates Team Z on their rankings after the match, and Isagi’s ranking has raised to 265, making him the highest-ranked member of the team. At the end of the episode, Ego tells them to hone their skills, and Isagi and his team are determined to improve themselves.
