Endling

The gorgeous and emotional Endling – Extinction is Forever finally has a release date, and it’s not so far away.

Perhaps you’ve not heard about Endling yet. We previewed it back in September 2021 and came away very impressed. A bit depressed maybe, but excited to play more all the same. You see, Endling: Extinction is Forever isn’t exactly an upbeat, happy game. It’s the tale of a mama fox and her cubs, trying to survive in a world that’s being destroyed by humans.

Thanks to deforestation, the fox and her cubs are the last of their kind. There’s a scarcity of food and water, and she and her cubs are in grave danger; a human worker steals one of the cubs, taking it away in a cage. After all, a near-extinct animal is quite the sight. And it’s probably worth a pretty penny.

But mama fox is determined to get her cub back – though tracking them down while also protecting the three still under her care is going to be no easy feat.

With gorgeous visuals, a moving soundtrack and a protagonist that you’re going to immediately fall in love with, Endling has all the makings of a true gem. And we don’t have to wait too much longer to get our hands on it: its launch date has been revealed to be 19th July.

Pre-orders are open now

It’s coming to PlayStation, Xbox, Switch and PC, priced at £24.99/$29.99. However, pre-order now and you’ll save 10%. Click through to pre-order on your preferred store:

There’s also a boxed version set to launch alongside the digital release too, available for PS4, Xbox One, Switch and PC. And, promoting the game’s message of protecting the environment, the physical PC release comes in an eco-friendly cardboard box, reducing the use of plastics.

Give Endling‘s new trailer a watch below. We’ll have more on the game closer to launch.
