The second trailer for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet has finally arrived, and if you think the big takeaway from it was the release date…you’d be wrong. In actuality, fans have been sent into meltdown over Lechonk, the greatest Pokemon we’ve ever seen.
Just in case it turns out you are interested, the release date for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet has finally been confirmed for Friday, November 18th, 2022, exclusively for Nintendo Switch. Not only does the latest trailer give fans a set release date, but we were also treated to a look at the game’s new world, as well as two new legendary Pokemon.
Koraidon, available in Pokemon Scarlet, and Miraidon, who is exclusive to Pokemon Violet, are reportedly said to have power that far surpasses those of other Pokemon, but exact details are still shrouded in mystery. But who needs two legendary Pokemon when you have Lechonk, right?

Pokemon Fans Fall In Love With Lechonk From New Scarlet & Violet Trailer
Although today’s Pokemon Scarlet and Violet trailer gave fans a look at the vast world, legendary Pokemon, new trainers, and more, fans quickly became obsessed with Lechonk.
Lechonk is a Hog Pokemon that fans have fallen in love with. Even Twitch star CouRageJD took to Twitter to say “Lechonk is the greatest thing I’ve ever seen”. Others have even gone as far as to start a fan club for the adorable hog Pokemon. Some are even going as far as to say that it’s the game of the year, and we’re inclined to agree.
Sadly, we’ll have to wait until November to get any further details on the legend that is, Lechonk. However, according to Game8, Lechonk’s abilities are as follows:
- Aroma Veil = Protects itself and its allies from attacks that limit their move choices.
- Gluttony = Makes the Pokémon eat a held Berry when its HP drops to half or less, which is sooner than usual.
