Genshin Impact will soon be receiving two more bonus costumes, here’s our input on the latest leaks regarding Diluc and Fischl’s upcoming Skins releasing in Version 2.8.
Skins in Genshin Impact were among the first additional features the developers teased in August, before the game even got released on September 28, 2020. However, new Skins are among the type of content that takes the longest time to get implemented, and currently, only four characters in total got an alternate Skin: Barbara, Jean, Ningguang, and Keqing. That’s without counting the Mondstadt characters Skins which were recently added as self-censorship for the Chinese servers.
Leaks from several weeks ago now revealed Diluc and Fischl are the next characters receiving bonus Skins, and now, price details were leaked alongside the official English names of the costumes.
Genshin Impact Diluc and Fischl Skins Name and Price Leaked
First off, Genshin Impact renowned leaker UBatcha shared the official English names for both Skins: Diluc’s costume is the Red Dead of Night, while Fischl’s costume is Ein Immernachtstraum (Evernight Dream in German). It’s very likely Diluc’s costume will be based on his alternate role as Mondstadt’s Darknight Hero. Meanwhile, seeing Fischl’s personality, I’m expecting something even more eccentric than her base character design, or a more modest, princess-like dress.
Next, the pricing of the skins was also leaked. As always with 4-Star characters, Fischl’s Skin will be obtainable for free by clearing the main event of Version 2.8. You’ll be able to exchange it for certain materials obtainable during the event. Once Version 2.8 ends, players who want to obtain Fischl’s Skin will have to buy it with Genesis Crystals.
Diluc’s Skin, like past 5-Star characters’ Skins, will be sold for a discount during all of Version 2.8: around 30$ worth of Genesis Crystals. Once Version 2.8 ends, it will be priced at around 38$ worth of Genesis Crystals.
A fanart based on an insider’s description of Diluc’s Skin was also shared alongside the leaks. Nothing was shared regarding Fischl’s Skin, however.
When is Genshin Impact 2.8 Getting Released?
While the Skins weren’t officially announced yet and only leaked, HoYoverse already officially confirmed Version 2.8 will release on July 13, 2022.
Personally speaking, Diluc is one of my favorite male characters in Genshin, so I’ll definitely end up spending some of my Genesis Crystals I stockpiled via buying the Welkin Pass. What do you plan to do?
