KAngel’s moving on… to a new platform, with Needy Streamer Overload on the Nintendo Switch. The game’s Switch port is slated for an October 27, 2022 release. It will cost 4378 JPY ($34.23) for the physical copy, and 2640 JPY ($20.65) for the digital one. As well, the physical version of the game will come with a first edition bonus of an art book and a soundtrack. [Thanks, 4Gamer!]
When the Nintendo Switch version of Needy Streamer Overload launches, the existing Steam version will also get an update. This update, which is already in the Switch version, will have new stickers to use in JINE, as well as new annoying replies on the in-game Twitter equivalent. In addition, there will be new endings on top of the game’s existing 24.
Needy Streamer Overload is a visual novel in which you play as P-Chan, who is Ame’s partner and producer. Ame’s goal is to get a million subscribers in 31 days, and you are the one to help her do that. You can tell Ame what to do every day, as well as what content to stream. The game does deal with heavy themes such as mental illness and self harm. As of March 2022, the Steam version of the game reached over 300,000 sales. During the Indie Live Expo, it was revealed that this number is now up to 400,000.
Needy Streamer Overload will release on the Nintendo Switch in Japan on October 27, 2022. The English release information isn’t yet known. The Steam version is available now.
