Gears of War fans would be elated to know that a Master Chief Collection-type remaster could possibly be in the works as per recent reports.

According to a new report by Shpeshal_Nick of the XboxEra podcast, Microsoft might have something exciting in store for avid fans of the platform. It is stated that there have been a number of rumors afloat about a franchise getting the same treatment as the Master Chief Collection.

Nick adds that the game is none other than the Gears of War franchise. Fans were a bit confused about whether this was Gears of War or the Forza franchise, but it seems like it’s the former.
When it comes to the official announcement and the reveal of the game, it is stated (timestamp 43:30) that it will be coming in the E3-type event Microsoft has planned for next month. Moreover, it is further added that the game will be coming out this year itself, which is not that big of a surprise if one considers how things have been lately.
Xbox fans have been slightly disappointed lately, as Microsoft announced that both Redfall and Starfield will not be coming this year. When one looks at the major titles Xbox had in store, these two were the only first-party titles that were slated to release this year. Surely, there are tons of third-party console exclusives slated to release this year as well, but fans are expecting some first-party exclusives as well.

While that can be slightly disappointing for fans out there, they should know that there are a significant number of first-party titles currently in development. From Avowed to Redfall, Starfield, and Hellblade sequel, Xbox is all set for some exciting titles in the days to come.
