That was MegaCon Live London 2024, the now-contractually-allowed inaugural London show from Malo Events. And following MegaCon Live shows in Dublin, Birmingham and Manchester, from co-founder of MCM Comic Con, Bryan Cooney.  The show is around a quarter of the size of MCM, which is also about the size of MCM when it began. However, it has basically all the cosplayers from MCM, with cosplay, as a result, making up a much greater proportion of the attending public. Here is a very small smattering of the cosplay on display, whether on the show floor, at the Masquerade, outside down the steps or on the train either coming to or leaving the show. All focused cosplayers gave permission to be photographed, including those who look like they are just chatting!

The RuPaul Drag Show Live was also happening in another part of the London ExCel Centre, I don’t think there was any crossover in the photos but you never know. Genshin Impact made quite a, well, impact. Harley Quinn, Deadpool, Miles Morales and Poison Ivy were less dominant than before (though still very present). And I didn’t see a Homestuck cosplayer all weekend. But hefre’s a small example of what I did…

MegaCon Live 2024 was open was open this weekend at the London ExCel Centre, with future shows next weekend at the RDS in Dublin, the 23rd and 24th of March in Birmingham and the 27th and 28th of July in Manchester. And probably around this time in London next year.
