With more than 350 episodes, Bleach is one of the longest-running anime TV shows. On top of that, the existing characters continue to grow stronger with time.

10/10 Lille Barro

Lille Barro has proved that Bleach is not just about Soul Reapers; Quincies have equal potential. He is the minion of the mighty Yhwach and the leader of Yhwach’s Schutzstaffel. Lille is an arrogant guy who thinks too much of himself, considering himself the man closest to god.

He’s the best-known rifleman in the series, who never misses his target, and any defense technique can hardly block his attacks. In the second form of his Vollstandig, Lille Barro becomes nearly invisible as his powers grow to such an extent that he can only get hurt if he throws his powers back at himself.

9/10 Askin Nakk Le Vaar

Askin Nakk Le Vaar

Askin is a Quincy like Lille Barro and another of Yhwach’s followers. He is completely unpredictable, which makes him even more powerful. Unlike other characters who give everything in the fight, Askin can be seen carefree in dire situations, passing sarcastic comments and enjoying seeing his comrades fighting.

Askin’s casual conduct seems reasonable as he is powerful enough to crush his enemies with his overwhelming strength. His deadliest attack, known as The Deathdealing, can call death for someone by altering the level of a substance to a point at which it becomes lethal for them. Being a Quincy, he can also gather the spiritual energy around him and create destructive weapons.

8/10 Shunsui Kyoraku

Shunsui Kyoraku strongest Bleach characters

You can describe Shunsui as a calm lake among the chaotic waves. He can usually be seen just lying around and smiling. While most characters lust for more power and desire something great, Shunsui is contented with his drinks, small naps, sweet buns, and chasing women. Mostly, he will try to talk things out and evade the battle, and you’ll probably regret your decision once you force him to get into a fight.

Shinsui is a master of swordsmanship who can use both hands equally well to handle the sword. For most of his fights, Shunsui didn’t need to release his Bankai, but he showed his true powers in a few notable incidents. The attacks of his Bankai can easily make the greatest of Soul Reapers fall to their knees.

7/10 Kenpachi Zaraki

Kenpachi Zaraki

Literally, no one would have liked Kenpachi on his first appearance in the show. But, the giant, self-centered-looking beast actually turned out to be a gem later in the series. Kenpachi’s only motivation is to find someone stronger than him and fight them vigorously, even if it costs him his life.

Kenpachi’s strength can be well assumed from the fact that he never resorted to the powers of his Zanpakuto, not even knowing its name for a long time. He considered that Zanpakuto are just tools, and using its powers for the battle is something that weaklings do. Upon releasing his Bankai, Kenpachi gains more strength and goes into a berserk mode, not caring for his opponent’s or his own life.

6/10 Gerard Valkyrie

Gerard Valkyrie strongest Bleach characters

Yawach’s army is made of some of the strongest Quincies, and here’s another one with the designation “M” The Miracle. Gerard is an aggressive man who takes pride in his powers. After being approached by several captains and Lieutenants, Gerard told them to come at once, saying that they would not be able to take him down in one-on-one combat.

Using the power of The Miracles, Gerard can give form to the thoughts, feelings, and desires of himself and those around him. Probability Manipulation is another of his great ability that can help him turn the odds in his favor.

5/10 Sosuke Aizen

Sosuke Aizen

Aizen is one of the greatest antagonists of Bleach. Initially, Aizen is shown as a soft-spoken, caring, and polite man, but all of this turns out to be a charade when he reveals his true side, even killing his own lieutenant, Momo, who cares for him more than anyone else. Aizen is so desperate for power that he considers everyone a pawn to reach his goals.

His evil deeds actually turn fruitful for him as he becomes one of the strongest Bleach characters. Aizen’s biggest power is his high intellect, which he uses to manipulate Soul Society without letting anyone know about it. He is an equally skilled combatant, and the power of his Zanpakuto can never be underestimated.

4/10 Ichibe Hyosube

Ichibe was introduced in the later episodes of Bleach but became more popular than most characters of the series. He is the leader of the Zero Division and an incredibly strong Shinigami. In fact, he is strong enough to defeat Yhwach. Ichibe becomes happier when he resolves to kill someone, but he spares the lives of his opponents in a condescending manner.

Ichibe is the one to coin several terms in Soul Society, like Bankai, Zanpakuto, and Shikai. He knew the name of every Zanpakuto and became the first Shinigami whose Zanpakuto attained the transformation known as Shin’uchi. Those unworthy of calling Ichibe’s names will lose their voices if they do so. Ichibe’s regeneration ability far exceeds others as he can reconstruct himself even if completely destroyed.

3/10 Genryusai Shigekuni Yamamoto

Yamamoto strongest Bleach characters

Being a Captain-Commander of Gotei 13 simply means a person is a gifted warrior with a battle experience of thousands of years. He might look old and fragile, but Yamamoto is strong enough to take down multiple Captains of Gotei 13 at once. Even his Spiritual Pressure is strong enough to make the lieutenants uneasy, which is evident from his fight with Shunsui Kyoraku and Jushiro Ukitake, where Shunsui’s Lieutenant, Nanao Ise, collapsed by his Reiatsu.

Yamamoto owns the oldest and strongest fire type, Zanpakuto, called Ryujin Jakka. His sword can consume the clouds and burn the sky even in its standard form. A single slash of Ryujin Jakka can turn anyone or anything into ashes. What’s more interesting about Yamamoto’s power is that once he kills someone with his sword, he can bring them back in the form of a burned corpse that will fight alongside him. All of this is just a sliver of Yamamoto’s powers.

2/10 Ichigo Kurosaki

Ichigo Kurosaki

It’s a wonder how Ichigo, a human, became one of the strongest characters of the series, leaving behind every Captain, Lieutenant, and even Yamamoto. Even with far less battle experience, he was able to take down elite captains like Kenpachi Zaraki and Byakuya Kuchiki. His sheer resolve to win turned out to be his greatest weapon throughout the series.

Ichigo gaining Soul Reaper’s powers was a coincidence, but he turned out to be a gifted fighter who honed his powers faster than anyone else in the series. He learned the release of Bankai in less than three days after undergoing vigorous training, in contrast to others who take around ten years to achieve that stage.

1/10 Yhwach

Yhwach strongest anime characters

Finally, we have Yhwach, also known as Father of the Quincy and the emperor of the Wandenreich with designation A. His godly powers are so mighty that he killed Yamamoto and even consumed the Soul King, stating that he was too weak and an imperfect god. Yamamoto once defeated Yhwach, but instead of killing him, he sealed Yhwach for 900 years. But he returned and regained his powers to take his revenge on the old man.

Yhwach’s most prominent powers are related to the future, as he can see the future and even alter it. With a mere touch, he can take someone’s abilities and experiences. So, even if the opponent is stronger than him, he can instantly steal all their powers. Yhwach was already incredibly strong, but after absorbing the Soul King, he became omnipotent.
