7 Janna
Janna, the Storm’s Fury, can bend the gales of Runeterra and the balance of the game to her will. Glacial Augment is a perfect match for her set of abilities. The Howling Gale is a reliable crowd control spell that, paired with the movement and damage reduction effects granted by the Augment, can turn tides of team fights in no time.
Zephyr is a strong single-target spell to slow down a chasing enemy or to doom an escaping one. Monsoon is the icing on the cake and can get the team out of a desperate situation or create comic misunderstandings.
6 Maokai
Maokai, the scariest treant of the Summoner’s Rift, is the leader of this meta in the jungle thanks to the recent buffs and managed to hit the top ten even in the support list. Thanks to his Sapling Toss, he can prevent enemy support from lurking in the bushes of the lane. At the same time, he can deliver great damage, especially if built with AP items like the Imperial Mandate instead of tank equipment that sees the Evenshroud as a core item.
His set of abilities is versatile for both single-target pick-offs and large scale fights that involve both teams.
5 Amumu
Amumu, the Sad Mummy, a well-known and reliable pick for the jungle, is also a great support champion since the update of his Bandage Toss, which grants him great zoning potential and can lead to early kills.
The possibility to stack two charges of that spell could end up in a permanent lockdown for the enemy target. His Despair can slowly reduce opponents’ health while body-blocking them and peeling his own ADC. Amumu, thanks to the Curse of the Sad Mummy, can save his allies or doom the enemy team to inevitable death.
4 Heimerdinger
Heimerdinger, the Revered Inventor, has always been a solo-laner and, in previous seasons, has represented an annoying and unforeseen opponent. The H-28 G Evolution Turret is the ultimate device to poke the enemy champions in the lane, zone out from the farm the marksman, and prevent the enemy skill shot from hitting your ADC.
The other side of the coin is that you could steal some CS from the carry and inevitably push the lane. However, the crowd-control potential of his abilities, especially when powered by his ultimate, is worth the ticket’s price.

Her Aqua Prison can stop an engaging enemy or punish an overextending champion during the lane phase or in crucial fights. Tidecaller’s Blessing makes Nami a terrible champion to lane against and, paired with an aggressive and early-game-oriented marksman, can give the team a good lead.

Blitzcrank, the Great Steam Golem, is fired up and ready to grab the gold medal of this top ten. His iconic skill, Rocket Grab, is one of the most frightening and engaging skills, and it can be a constant threat in the laning phase for the marksman of the enemy team.
In the mid and late game, when its movement speed is increased by the Mobility Boots and the Shurelya’s Battlesong, and it is boosted by its Overdrive, Blitzcrank can go all-in and change the balance of the game with a single perfectly timed grab.
