It can be intimidating shopping for PC accessories, parts, gadgets, and cosmetics. To be that friend that I needed, I’ve created a list of PC accessories I wish someone had shown me when I was first starting for you to enjoy.

One of the first PC accessories I ever got was a wrist rest. If you do a lot of typing or a lot of gaming (or a lot of both like me), then the Glorious wrist rest is essential. I have a Logi wrist rest for my keyboard since it is thinner and a Glorious wrist rest solely for my mouse. Having something comfortable to lay my wrists on when using a keyboard and mouse has been a lifesaver which is why I highly recommend you get one.
When I leveled up to monitor stands, I questioned how I lived without them. This ErGear dual monitor stand is extremely dependable and flexible. You can achieve any dual floating monitor look you want, including turning one or both screens 90 degrees. Free up more desk space with the ErGear dual monitor stand.
The NexusLink ethernet adapter is a complete game-changer. My brother told me about these and, since using them myself, I’ve never had better internet connections. The NexusLink ethernet adapter makes it so you have a connection equivalent to an ethernet connection, but it’s using WiFi and boxes plugged into your walls.
The setup is really easy. Plug one into a wall and attach it with an ethernet cable to your router. Take the other one, plug it into a wall near your PC, and connect it via ethernet cable to your PC. Before, my family and friends were getting booted from games I was hosting thanks to bad internet connections. After the NexusLink ethernet adapter, all my internet issues vanished. Trust me with this one.
Upgrade your gaming experience with the Govee DreamView gaming light. This device scans your screen and emits real-time color-matching LED lighting around your screen. It’s an extremely immersive experience that ups your setup.
I own a Govee floor lamp and it’s the greatest. I’m a big fan of Govee products because they look great and are easy to use. Also, all Govee products come with an app that lets you control and customize your lighting experience, and that is the case for this DreamView gaming light.
Looking to upgrade your headset? Check out the SteelSeries Arctis Nova. SteelSeries is known for making the best headsets which, to many, many reviewers, is the case with the Artis Nova. With these, you get great 360-degree audio, active noise cancellation, and a very comfortable design, and you also get a base station that lets you control the EQ and mix while also connecting you to two audio connections.
I recently upgraded my microphone situation from headphones and earbuds to an external microphone thanks to the Elgato Wave:3. This microphone has great hands-on controls, amazing input volume, doesn’t capture the sound from my external speakers, and, the best part, is USB so you plug it in and it immediately works.
I don’t recommend downloading the Elgato Wave:3 software that Elgato recommends getting. I had several friends do that and it made things much worse. If you want to break into the external mic game, you can’t go wrong with the Elgato Wave:3.
Along with my new Elgato Wave:3 microphone, I just bought these Bose speakers a few days ago and they are incredible. I had cheap, broken speakers from a thrift store and to say these were an upgrade would be an understatement. These Bose speakers are at a great price and they sound incredible. You really can’t go wrong with Bose and these speakers prove that point.
Having a nifty hook to set your headphones on when you aren’t using them is extremely useful. It removes extra clutter from your desk and gives you easy access to your headphones. I have a headphone hook and it’s very convenient. This makes a great gift, especially since it’s so cheap.
This cute lilypad deskmat from MookoStudio is on this list strictly because I want it. Someone buy it for me. Please. But in all seriousness, this deskmat is adorable and I love everything about it. It is a bit niche, and I get that. But, if you don’t want this deskmat, then hopefully this helps spark an idea of which deskmat you would like to get because having a deskmat helps keep your desk organized and create a unique vibe.
Last but not least, this 173-piece cable management set from Hebbza is necessary to manage your unruly cables. Cable management is hard, but with this kit, you’ll be able to wrangle everything to create a space that is free of clutter.
